Location Works has been approached by the Channel 4 TV programme Grand Designs, who are currently searching for potential candidates for the Grand Designs Home of the Year competition.
Kevin McCloud and the Channel 4 Grand Designs team want to see the best examples of domestic architecture the UK has to offer and are seeking home owners and architects who would love to have their inspired creativity and hard slog rewarded!
They have constructed a panel of judges including Will Alsop, award winning architect; designer of London's famous 'Gherkin', Ken Shuttleworth; Wayne Hemingway and Pooran Desai, sustainability guru; who will select three homes from each of the categories listed below to be judged by the great British public:
Each of these final three will be filmed and shown on either night of a five night TV series presented by Kevin McCloud, and a winner will be decided by public vote. The winners of each category will then go head to head in a grand final where the prize of Home of the Year is up for grabs.
Each entry must come from the owner of the property or be submitted on behalf of the owner and be accompanied by imagery, supporting plans and written information. Each home entered must have had works completed within the past two years, i.e. Jan 06-Dec 07.
